Tyaga Singh Baker is a long time resident of Northern New Mexico, and founded Tyaga and Company in 1975.
With a love for building
and a well-developed sense of style, Tyaga and his talented
staff have built more than 200 beautiful homes and small commercial projects all around Santa Fe and
throughout Northern New Mexico, from Tierra Amarillo to Bernal. Attention to detail and
customer-focus has earned Tyaga and Company an excellent reputation,
both for new home construction and historical renovations.
In 2014, the team of
Tyaga and Company was awarded the Heritage Preservation Award from the City of
Santa Fe’s Historic Districts Review Board and Archaeological Review Committee for the
restoration of a 1930’s era house at 318 Delgado Street in the historic district of Santa Fe.
They won this prestigious award
again in 2016 for the beautiful restoration of 628 East Palace Avenue.
The Original Team
In
1984, John DeVito, Steve Collins, and Tyaga Baker joined together to design,
build, and market properties in Santa Fe. John passed in 2012, and we remember him
as a mountain of a man! Steve and Tyaga remain good friends and work together as
often as possible.
Hugo Patino
Hugo Patino has been working with Tyaga since 2004, bringing a high
standard of excellence to all phases of building from foundation to finish.
Bill Bruce
Bill Bruce and Tyaga have known each other nearly their whole lives, growing up
together in Los Angeles. Bill Bruce is a master craftsman in Santa Fe, creating
exceptionally detailed carpentry for renovations and other specialty work.
